The OIGA formed in 1920 and the Mission is to reach, connect and support current and past students in a variety of ways.
The governing body for alumni – the OIGA Council – is comprised of alumni representing both the Plenty and Ridgeway Campus and spans 50 years. President of the Association, Peter Swain ’75 continues to lead with passion and the OIGA Councillors are committed to assisting with ‘rolling-out’ the Mission in line with their strengths and passions.
In recent years, the OIGA has forged a more prominent online presence via the OIG Official Facebook Page and the OIGA LinkedIn Group. Alumni have also become more involved in various School programs and activities which has seen the Association expand and strengthen. We encourage alumni of all ages, backgrounds and interests to get in touch with the Alumni Coordinator, Elise Dunstan ’01 to get involved in the 2016 Careers Expo, Wellbeing Program, After9 Program or find out further avenues to connect with the School.
The School and OIGA continue to run an extensive reunion and event program for alumni to connect locally, interstate and overseas, as well as career-networking, sporting and creative events sporadically throughout the year. We strongly encourage alumni to keep the Development Office informed of their current postal and email address to stay abreast of news and events. Please drop into 2 Merton Street, Ivanhoe (the home of the OIGA), email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 9490 3407 to do so.
Most notably, the OIGA has a new website which seeks to inform and further engage alumni in 2016 and beyond.
Join us on Facebook to keep up to date with OIGA developments.
